Battalion S-2: Safety
c/1LT Mattea Tabada
Hello, I’m Cadet First Lieutenant Tabada Mattea. I’m a BST freshman and the current S-2 Intelligence Officer for the 26-27 second-semester, until the start of the 26-27 school year. As the current S2, I work a lot with safety procedures, such as conducting Risk Assessments to identify ways to prevent injuries that may occur during events. Other than RA’s, I also do equipment checks, find scholarships, place them on the classroom scholarship board, and send out information from Brigade.

JROTC Career
During my time in JROTC as a Let-1, I have gone through being a normal cadet to a squad leader and private to sergeant during my first semester. Along with that, I signed up for a staff assistant because I wanted to be more active in the program since I found it fun, and I thought of trying something new. Later, while they were deciding the main staff, I was asked to join. I was really excited when they gave me the chance, so I decided to accept the offer. Now, I currently work as S2.
Academics
I went to elementary school in Japan, then I moved to San Diego in 5th grade. I went to Taft for Middle School and joined a few clubs and programs, including a leadership program and ASB in 6th grade.
