Battalion S-1: Personnel

c/CPT Rihanna Tabada

Hi! I’m Cadet Captain Rhianna Tabada, the S1 or Personnel Officer, for the 2026-2027 school year. As S1, my duties mostly regard cadet information, promotions/awards and the tracking of events. This includes things such as a comprehensive and accurate report of all cadet information in JUMs or smaller things such as meeting minutes for the weekly meetings. The summarized version of S1 can be boiled down to HR, as the responsibility of S1 is the management and overseeing of all cadets on the program. Outside of AJROTC I enjoy doing digital art, writing, online gaming, building legos and any form of arts & crafts. I enjoy reading a variety of books, mostly light novels or young adult books. My favorite currently is “The House of Leaves” which is a very well made psychological horror book. I don’t really do sports, but I am a good swimmer, play badminton from time to time and hope to learn to be better at table tennis. Mostly though I enjoy the comfort of the indoors or solitude of nature, as I frequently go hiking and on beach walks.

JROTC Career

For the first couple years of my AJROTC career I did not really take a leadership position. Mostly due to many personal obligations, though in my Junior year I had more time than expected which led me to volunteer more. This led me to being asked to apply for a staff position due to previous knowledge on many of the roles as helped do some work for others. Which then I did eventually apply to. I am a member of the Robotics team, Khaos 37358A, and have competed in all competitions so far having helped win several awards. Later I joined drones which I did not do much in the beginning due to prior commitments, but was able to heavily participate in later.

Academics

I started my academic career in Sullivans Elementary school in which I participated in a science club, cheerleading and swimming. Later I went to Yokosuka Middle school, though I didn’t stay long as I moved to California and joined Taft Middle school. In which I made a great deal of friends before joining Kearny Highschool, where I specifically went to Kearny’s School of Biomedical Sciences and Technology.
